FOX
My debut play FOX was programmed as the final show under Clive Judd’s artistic direction at The Old Red Lion Theatre and was directed by Rupert Hands. FOX follows a couple who are struggling to sleep because of the sounds of foxes mating outside their flat. As the relationship spirals out of control, the foxes begin to make their apartment less and less inhabitable and the relationship reaches an ultimately fateful conclusion.
London Theatre1:
‘The writing is by turns haunting and funny.’
WhatsOnStage:
‘Fox features moments of tart insight…Rose’s script plants all the seeds’
Theatre Weekly:
‘The scenes…are punchy and laden with enlightening snippets that expose a different side to modern dating.’
Director: Rupert Hands
Producer: Hannah Tookey + Those Two Imposters
Cast: Amanda Vilanova + Rhys Whomsley
Pedestrian
Pedestrian explores the impact of lone wolf terrorist attacks on the life of a young married couple. The play unfolds in reverse chornological order. This is my second full length project following Fox. This play is still in development.
Industry Feedback on Pedestrian:

"An accomplished work with real impact" – Roger Davenport (Author)
“I found the play gripping and believable and I always wanted to read on” – Carolyn Burns (Author/Playwright)
“A story which everyone will relate to, beautifully crafted and incredibly moving” – Liza McLean. (Producer)
This play is available to read upon request.
GentleMen
GentleMen is an exploration into the male mental health crisis. The play captures eight differing perspectives of the young male experience. It focuses in on their ability (or lack there of) to effectively communicate their feelings and engage with their inner-lives.
East Riding Theatre recently commissioned an extract from GentleMen to be performed as part of their online season of work, the result of which can be viewed here.
“Everything influences playwrights. A playwright who isn't influenced is never of any use.”
— Arthur Miller
Breaking Him In
The brilliant humans over at Pluck Productions have created an online season of work due for release throughout Summer 2020 titled Remote Control.
I was commissioned to create a short to be featured as part of this online season.
Breaking Him In is about the actors ability to manipulate and portray emotion. This piece has been brought to life by the effortlessly talented duo consisting of Rachel Bright (Eastenders) and Jonno Davies. (Hunters)
IN THE FLESH
I was over the moon to collaborate with Graded Films on this short film exploring a remote meeting between two men exploring the wildly unexpected thrill of what was once normal life. .
Created and produced during lockdown, this film explores all the things one might have missed from a year without any physical contact at all. Its quietly rebellious and surprisingly tender turns, take you on a roller-coaster nine minute thrill ride and asks difficult questions about what comes next…
